Kitchen Pipework
Sink, grease trap, water filter and dishwasher feed installations done to Malaysian Standard โ and to the standard your kitchen actually deserves.

The kitchen sink area is the busiest plumbing junction in most homes. Every day it handles three or four different incoming and outgoing services โ cold supply, hot supply if a heater is plumbed in, sink waste, dishwasher feed, dishwasher waste, and increasingly a filtered drinking-water tap and an under-sink filter housing. When all of that is squeezed into one cabinet, neatness matters as much as competence.
The work we do under the sink
- New sink and trap installations during kitchen renovations
- Sink replacements when a top-mount is swapped for an undermount
- Dishwasher first-time installation, including dedicated waste tee and shut-off valve
- Under-sink water filter housing fits, with filtered tap on the sink deck
- Replacement of corroded brass angle valves with quarter-turn ball valves
- Grease trap installation in landed homes and serviced apartments
- Insinkerator-style food waste disposer installations and rewires
What "to spec" actually means
Malaysian Standard MS 1522 covers the sanitary plumbing side and SPAN Technical Guideline 1 covers the cold supply side. The short version is: PPR or copper on the supply, an air-gap or proper P-trap on the waste, an accessible shut-off on every appliance line, and no buried joints.
In practice, that translates to a cabinet that you can open in five years' time and still understand what runs where. We label every shut-off valve with a small printed tag โ cold, hot, dishwasher, filter โ so the next person who opens that cabinet (you, us, or someone else) is not playing a guessing game.
Dishwasher installation specifics
A dishwasher needs three things done right: a dedicated cold-water shut-off (preferably the soft-close type that does not freeze open), a properly-sized drain hose tee with a high-loop or air gap to prevent waste backflow, and a level appliance footing so the door seals correctly. Half the dishwasher leak callouts we get are not actually dishwasher faults โ they are first-fit installations where one of the three was skipped.
Under-sink filter installations
We install both single-stage and multi-stage filter housings. We do not sell filter cartridges, so we have no financial reason to push one brand over another โ we will install whatever you've chosen, and tell you honestly which housings are easy to service in 12 months and which are not. Stick to standard 10-inch housings if you want flexibility in cartridge supply.
Grease traps
Landed homes that cook frequently benefit hugely from an in-line grease trap before the main drain, and many serviced-apartment developments now require one by management policy. We install both above-floor compact units (easier to service) and below-floor concrete traps (better capacity but require an annual clean-out).
